President Drew Van Horn receives YHC Medallion Award    

Dr. Drew Van Horn, president of Young Harris College, has been awarded the College’s highest honor, the YHC Medallion, for his service to YHC. 

Young Harris College students present at medieval renaissance conference  

Speaking on a variety of topics related to the medieval and Renaissance eras, students from Young Harris College presented at the 36th University of Virginia-Wise Medieval Renaissance Conference. 

Historical marker honoring Zell Miller installed at YHC 

A historical marker was unveiled on Young Harris College campus by the Georgia Historical Society Nov. 1, honoring Zell Miller, former Georiga Governor, state Senator, and alumnus of Young Harris College. 

YHC selects John Wells as new college president

Young Harris College Police celebrate 40 years 

Forty years ago, a new sheriff came to town as the Young Harris College police force became an official accredited law enforcement agency in Georgia, growing from a police force of one to a fully-staffed, 24/7 department keeping the peace at the College.

Dr. WIlliam Harry and Harriet Hill are synonymous with Young Harris College. The couple from Powder Springs, GA, were ardent supporters of the College and young Mountain Lions who studied here.
