Young Harris College Presents Guitar Ensemble Concert
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Young Harris College Guitar Ensemble will present a concert on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in Susan B. Harris Chapel on the YHC campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Chair of the Music Department and Associate Professor of Music Richard Knepp, D.M.A, the ensemble will perform a variety of solos pieces, duets, trios and a quartet. The program will encompass a variety of musical styles from across the globe such as a South American folk song, an Asian/Eastern-influenced composition entitled “Chasing Dragons” by composer Darin Au, and “Cavatina” by film composer Stanley Myers.
Along with Dr. Knepp, the ensemble includes junior music major Caleb Biddy, of Douglasville, Ga., freshman music major Moon Hamilton, of Atlanta, Ga., and sophomore English major Alejandro Lemus-Gomez, of Young Harris, Ga.
