YOUNG HARRIS, GA. – Faculty, staff, and students from Young Harris College will join the congregation of First United Methodist Church of Union County on Sunday, Sept. 15, for YHC Sunday.
The College and First UMC enjoy a special relationship as many of the faculty, staff, alumni, and trustees are members of the congregation.
Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, at 8:30, 9:30, and 11 a.m. President Drew Van Horn will welcome everyone, and give a college update and Campus Chaplain Adam Daniels will deliver a sermon at each of the three services.
The YHC Concert Choir will be singing at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services, under the direction of Jeff Bauman, chair of the Department of Music, Professor of Music, and Director of Choral and Vocal Activities. Dr. Keith DeFoor, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor of Music, and Dean of the Division of Fine Arts, will serve as organist and pianist for the services.
The First United Methodist Church of Union County is located at 859 Highway 515 in Blairsville.
