Young Harris College Awards Medallion to Lambert

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College Trustee Ray P. Lambert, Jr. received the College’s highest award, the YHC Medallion, during its 2023 Commencement ceremony on May 6.  

Lambert received the Medallion award for his diligent service, his selfless generosity, and his unwavering commitment to the College. Lambert graduated from YHC in 1977, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was elected to the YHC Board of Trustees in 2007 where he currently serves on several Board committees, and chairs the Development Committee.  

“YHC is proud to award Lambert the Medallion for his extraordinary contributions, his sacrificial efforts to assist the College in tangible projects and his instrumental service in the preservation of campus history,” stated President Drew Van Horn.

Lambert, a resident of Towns County, is President of the Lambert Company and serves on the Board of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
