About Family Weekend
This annual weekend event provides the perfect opportunity for families to visit campus and experience life at YHC. Meet faculty and staff, watch athletic events, catch a musical theatre production, and pose for family pictures during your visit.
Find information about the area and local accommodations before you visit. Book early because rooms are in high demand during this beautiful time of year in the mountains.
View the waiver for using facilities provided by the Recreation and Fitness Center and/or participating in activities sponsored by the Recreation and Fitness Center (waivers for anyone under 18 must be signed by a legal guardian).
Elephant & Piggie’s “WE ARE IN A PLAY!”

Get ready for a musical experience, ripped from the pages of Mo Willems’ beloved, award-winning, best-selling children’s books. Gerald and Piggie take to the stage in a rollicking adventure filled with beloved characters and lively songs, Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” is a perfect way to introduce young people to theatre. This performance is FREE
thanks to the Fred Register Endowment for Children’s Theatre at Young Harris College.
