About History at Young Harris College
A bachelor of science degree in History exposes students to social, cultural, military, economic, political, and intellectual moments of the past to foster better understanding of today’s world. History majors and minors are trained beyond the fundamentals to view history through lenses of critical thinking and analysis.
The Humanities majors are all built on the same liberal arts core and History in particular offers students the ability to explore the vast field of history by selecting courses from a wide range of topics. In addition, History majors have plenty of elective credit hours to double-major, minor, or simply take classes that pique their curiosity.
