YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Young Harris College recently received a $1,000 gift from long-time donor Ethel Winters of Hiawassee, Georgia, as a contribution to the College’s Bob & Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign. Since 1998, Winters has given $1,000 annually to support local students pursuing an education at YHC. These contributions are made in memory and honor of her late husband, Edward W. Winters.
The Bob & Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign provides scholarship funding for YHC students from Fannin, Gilmer, Rabun, Towns, and Union counties in Georgia and Cherokee and Clay counties in North Carolina.
