Meet Local Students

Cherokee County

Daniel Johnson
Senior chemistry major

‚ÄúThanks to my local scholarship, I will¬†be able to complete my undergraduate¬†education debt-free. Local scholarships¬†made it possible for YHC to offer me¬†more financial aid than any other school¬†which encouraged my decision to attend. Thanks to YHC,¬†I am prepared to pursue a career as a medical doctor¬†where I hope to return and serve the people in this area.‚ÄĚ

Pickens County

Blake Wilson
Sophomore theatre major

‚ÄúWhen looking for colleges, YHC was¬†a standout place. However, one of¬†my worries was how to afford tuition.¬†My local scholarship allowed me to¬†attend a fantastic school and alleviate¬†the financial burden.‚ÄĚ

Towns County

Alejandro Lemus-Gomez

‚ÄúYHC has given me the resources I¬†need in order to pursue my goals.¬†The financial aid office helped me¬†explore the opportunities to earn the¬†local scholarships I currently have. It is¬†truly reassuring to know that my community is so willing¬†to help see their youth strive for excellence.‚ÄĚ

Rabun  County

Molly Vinson
Freshman English major with education certification

‚ÄúLocal scholarships have made it¬†possible for me to attend YHC and¬†pursue my goals of being a collegiate¬†athlete and an English teacher.¬†Without the support of my scholarship I would not be¬†where I am today and I am truly thankful to those who¬†made my future with YHC possible.‚ÄĚ

Union County

Lauren Gray

‚ÄúThanks to the support of my local¬†community, I have been truly blessed¬†by not only receiving substantial¬†financial assistance and a quality¬†education, but I have also gained¬†lasting relationships and confidence to further pursue¬†my goals. I would like to express my gratitude to¬†those who have so generously provided me with this¬†opportunity.‚ÄĚ

Gilmer County
